My Car
Is a highly optioned and original RS/SS 396 with 32,000
original miles on the clock at the time of the incident. The main options
include a 350 hp L-34 Big Block, Deluxe Interior, Turbo 400, P/S, P/B, A/C
and Posi. If you take a look at my show
sign you can get an idea of the other options my Camaro has.
While my Camaro was not perfect, before the big drop, it was nice enough to
walk away with a first place trophy at every Super Chevy I have showed at
except for one. At that one show I was beat by
Bob Routt with his
beautiful 73 Z28 which was promoted to the Gold Class after that event. I
have also won several other event including a top 20 Street Car at the 2000
Waco Street Machine Nationals.The goal for this restoration is to make my
Camaro nice enough to compete with my Buddy Bob R heads up in the
Super Chevy Gold
Class. This will be no easy task and I don't take it lightly as it will
take a tremendous amount of care and detail. A lot of the detail items
needed, like part number tags, are not readily available for Second Gen.
Camaro. I will have to replicate these myself.
